Fifty Years Later,

In loving memory of Eric Woodstrom, aka Woody, a beloved father, grandfather, friend, mentor, and dedicated member of his community, who passed away August 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, service, and love that will continue to touch the lives of many.

Throughout his life, Eric freely gave his time and talents to a wide variety of community organizations and causes. He believed in giving back and was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether through volunteer service, community projects, or simply being there when someone needed him. His commitment to his community was something he lived every day.

A special part of his life was his involvement in youth sports. As a coach and mentor, he taught young people much more than the fundamentals of the game. He taught them about teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and the importance of believing in themselves. The relationships he built with the young people he coached remained among the many lasting connections he cherished. Continuing in the vein of community service, Eric also served on several boards including the Turtle Bay Board of Regents.

Away from his community service, Eric had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the many adventures life had to offer. He loved fishing, traveling, the excitement of hunting, and managed to get in some snow skiing too. He had an appreciation for classic cars and could spend hours working on and admiring their craftsmanship and character. His artistic side was another reflection of his creative spirit and his ability to see beauty and possibility in the world around him.

Yet, of all the things he accomplished and all the interests that brought him joy, his greatest pride was his children. Nothing compared to the happiness he found in watching them grow, succeed, and build lives of their own. He was quite simply their biggest fan. His love for his children was unconditional and unwavering, and he considered being their father his greatest privilege in life.

His grandchildren brought him another special kind of joy. He treasured every moment spent with them — the conversations, the laughter, the adventures, and the simple moments together. He delighted in watching them discover the world and in never telling them no.

Eric will be remembered for his generous heart, artistic spirit, adventurous nature, willingness to serve others, and his ability to make a difference simply by showing up and giving his time.

He leaves behind his wife Camile; children Kyle (Elizabeth), Anne (Nicholas), Jessica, and Jens (Bailey); and grandchildren Blake, Scottie, and Timothy, as well as countless friends and members of the community whose lives were made better by knowing him.
